I just fixed my issue with this by downloading the whole setup from canon... they have windows 10 drivers...

I downloaded the full driver and software package (the first one in the list... scroll down first!) and reinstalled using a usb cable connection.. I also gave my account on windows 10 full access to all files and folders... good luck!
