I have a Canon MF8280cw and I've used Google cloud print on this printer for years without issue until spring of 2017. One day about year ago, Google cloud print stopped working with the error "Server Communication Error.". For the last year, I've called Canon, who first told me it was a Google Cloud print problem, only to have Google say that the problem was with the Canon printer.
I have been able to get it to function on and off by performing firmware upgrades (on most recent firmware from 04/18), taking off the use of certificates, resetting up Google Cloud Print, unregistering/registering the printer to GCP (doesn't always work, sometime it takes many attempts). However, anytime I have gotten it to GCP again, it only works for a few days, then goes back to the Server Communication error. Straight WIFI printing on my internal network always prints without issue.
Please help, it's currently not able to GCP again, this is extremely frustrating and the main reason I bought this printer was for the Google Cloud print function.
