There is no need to use the included installation CD when a manufacturer is providing regular software updates for a product. This is true in the case of your printer. Drivers for Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 exist.
You didn't say what OS your new computer is running, but the page referenced above has drivers for a variety of windows operating systems.
"Drivers don't work on my operaing system".
What OS are you running?
What doesn't work?
What error message do you receive?
Please describe the problem?

Thanks a lot for getting back. The scanner works but the new computer will not connect to print. I have downloaded everthing at the Canon website in availale drivers. My "downloads" have the folders...I can't install them.
I have a Windows 10...HP all in one computer.
I got no messages.
I have unplugged the printer and replugged it...the same.

I am having the same problem with my MF8280cw printer using a MacBook 12 and OSX 10.15.2 Catalina I followed your posted instructions for adding the scanner with MF Toolbox- which worked only for adding the scanner. I am still able to print but not scan wirelessly.
Cannot scan because of the following:
- Scan type set on the scanner is incorrect
- Scanner is busy
- Error occurred in the scanner
- Scanner is in Sleep mode
Check the scanner status and try again.
Scanner driver will be terminated.
Error code: 2100010

Help us understand exactly where the jam is. In the ADF, in the front output tray. Removing some jams takes a lot of time and patience.

i-Sensys MF446Cx and "check that the paper size..." notification
Good day.
Got a new MFD Canon i-Sensys MF446Cx. Great and fast device.
But when I'm load paper into drawer I always got message on screen:
"check that the paper size and type settings for the drawer are correct before performing the job"
and only one button "OK"
And there is my paper settings from the web-console:
Also I confirm that use usual white office paper 80 gr/m2 and rails into drawer are configured for A4 format.
Looks this is only cosmetic notification, it's allow to print, but in any cases I'd like to know what is it.
So my questions is very simple - what is the reason of this notification and how to remove it?

Runtime Error scanning wtih Cpature perfect 3.0 on window 10
We've had to upgrade our PC's to windows 10 since 7 will no longer be supported as of January 1,2020. Now when we use the scan perfect 3.0 we get runtime error. scanner we are using is a Canon DR-G2110. Is there a fix for ths?
LBP622C/623C Paper Selection
I'm having an issue with my LBP622C/623C which I can't seem to figure out. I have US Letter paper loaded in the paper tray (the one that slides out) and the display shows both correct size and that its loaded with paper. Every time I go to print a letter sized document the printer says "No Paper LTR: Plain 1" (see image). I have to select 1 (which is the paper drawer) and then it works fine. I have looked through all of the settings and can't find which one needs to be changed. I've even disabled the multipurose tray and it still does it.

Yes. I have tried that both through the windows printer properties and through the remote managment software. I just tried disabling the multipurpose tray in Windows by setting it to "not available" but still had the issue.
Re: Imageclass MF743Cdw prints too light. How to get it darker?
I tried this setting but it didn't help. However, the details of this function indicated it would change the operation when a new cartridge was inserted. Of note in my case, printing black is dark/correct when I print a document through MW Word so the printer/toner appears to be capable of operating correctly. It's printing other things, like webpages, where the black is light gray. I've selected B/W printing, but black text is still quite light. So this seems like an incorrect default somewhere. Let's try addressing this from the other direction? What setting would I change if I wanted to lighten black text? Also, I've seen multiple posts that the printer driver for this printer is terrible. What I'm seeing is a very full-featured offering (maybe too many?) but what is the correct driver for this printer? Thanks!

If the drivers have been installed and the printer isn't showing up, then you may need to move the Canon scanner drivers from the following folders to the trash before running the Scanner driver installation again. The folders are:
Mac HD \ Library \ Image Capture \ TWAIN Data Sources
Mac HD \ Library \ Image Capture \ Devices
If the problem persists after removing the MF624Cw's scanner drivers and reinstalling them, then something else on the computer is blocking the printer from being detected; ensure the printer is being allowed through your antivirus and firewall.

Thank you for that information. Since the printer is being seen by USB, try opening the Printers & Scanners window and clicking on the [ + ] button. If you get a single-column context menu, click on Add New Printer or Scanner to open the Add New window.
If the printer does not show up in that list, open the following folder on the computer:
Mac HD \ Library \ Printers \ PPDs \ Contents \ Resources \
Move the file "Canon MF4350dseries" from that list to the trash, then run the installation using the download from the Canon U.S.A. website. This will give it a fresh install and get rid of any old data that may have been corrupting the printer driver. Once reinstalled, try adding it again using the Add New Printer or Scanner window. If the printer still does not show up by USB, then you may need to add exceptions to your firewall or antivirus in order to allow the printer access through.

Hi seatime.
If the new computer is a laptop, ensure it's plugged in to external power. The USB signal on battery power can be too low for the printer to detect.
Something else to be wary of with new computers is that you're connecting the printer to a USB 2.0 compatible port. Some USB 3 ports have problems with backwards compatibility, and the MF3240 is designed for USB 1 and 2. Refer to the computer model's diagram (from the manufacturer) for information on which ports should be USB 2 compliant.

My computer has Windows 10 OS.
I downloaded the driver for the scanner and it works fine...they do not have a driver for the printer itself or fax.

I am not using Anti-virus nor Firewall.
In Mac HD \ Library \ Printers \ PPDs \ Contents \ Resources \
there is no file "Canon MF4350dseries".
There are a lot of files there, all of the form CNPZUxxx.ppd.gz (where xxx's are letters and numbers)
(and some Brother files).
The most interesting one is CNPZUMF4350ZU.ppd.gz . I ungzipped it and the header says
*Manufacturer: "Canon" *Product: "(mf4320-4350 z)"
It doesnt seem corrupt. Anyways I deleted all the CNZU files and reintalled the Canon driver.
Now they are back, but my computer still doesn't show Canon printer. The + opens a window enclosed and the search function doesnt find any "Canon" or "MF". Would you have any further suggestion?

The website does not have printer download it only has the driver for the scanner...the scanner works fine. Pease advise further.
