Canon MF4570dn error "Could not install scanner driver. Try to install again"

$

I replaced the computer motherboard and did a clean install of windows 10. My printer is on a home network and I had no trouble installing drivers for print and fax, but the scanner driver won't install. Interestingly, I had been running windows 10 previously on the old motherboard and scan worked fine. With the clean install of windows 10 there was no existing driver to use the patch download for scanner and the driver download won't install.

I use the scanner frequently any ideas??

Yes I've seen other similar posts, but no solutions.

There is not a way to totally turn off sleep mode.  You can set various sleep mode time values.  Click HERE for this information.  I will submit your request for future firmware updates regarding turning off the sleep mode. Firmware updates when available are posted to Canon's website at www.usa.canon.com.

Hi yglazer1

Please keep in mind we will not know specific network information you will need to enter such as port numbers and so on.  You will need to obtain this information from your IT Admin as they will have this information available.  Also note that scan to email is designed to work with an on site email server such as an MS Exchange server or a Domino server and not offsite email servers such as Yahoo or G-Mail.

If your imageCLASS MF249 is connected to your network and you have an on site email server, you should be able to send scans via e-mail.  Please note that we recommend that network settings and settings to send scanned documents be performed by the network administrator.  The information for setting the imageCLASS MF249 to be able to send scanned documents is available when you click HERE

If you continue to have difficulties, please contact our support group using the following link:

I am also having this problem. I went through all of the above steps several times and I'm still getting an orange-like color instead of yellow or gold. I even put in new Canon brand ink cartridges with no improvement.

Jbfdawg,

I was never able to solve this issue, despite taking the steps I listed above. Additionally I tried with new Canon ink cartridges, but to no avail.

I would advise returning the printer if you are able to and get another brand.

As I mentioned above, the Canon tech support person's solution was for me to print my file on either of the two non-Canon printers I had tested, both of which printed the color correctly. If that is not an indication of the lack of Canon's willingness to reslove this issue, then I don't know what is.

well, that's not good.  I am checking with my IT people about connecting to my work email.

The device is currently connected to my router wirelessly.  If i connect it to the computer via hard wire, can i then scan to the attached computer?  if so, what connection need be used?

Thanks.

Processing light keeps blinking

My ImageClass mf628cw yellow processing light continues blinking after a job is completed. There is no error light. There are no jobs pending at all. The status monitor confirms there are no pending jobs. The only way I can get the light to turn off, is to turn the power off and then back on. While this processing light is blinking, I cannot perform any other jobs. Please help!

Hi airmann70

So that I may better assist you, I will need some more information about your situation.  Do you mind answering a few questions?

1.  Before you downloaded the Patch for Network Scan, USB Scan from our web site, did you download and install the drivers and MF Toolbox from our web site?  If so, did you restart or reboot (turn off the power) your computer before downloading the patch?

2.  Is there an error message appearing on the computer or printer when attempting to scan from your computer from the MF Toolbox software? If so, please list the message verbatim.

Hi ll38ymrn

So that I may better assist you, I will need some more information about your situation.  Do you mind answering a few questions?

(1) How are you connecting the mf628cw to your computer, with a USB cable or via your network?

(2) Does the light stop flashing after resetting your MF628Cw using the steps below?  If not, what exactly is displayed on your printer's LCD screen?

 1.  Turn the printer off with the Power button.

 2.  Disconnect the data cable from the printer (not applicable to WiFi).

 3.  Unplug the printer's power cord for at least ten minutes, and then plug it back in.

Note: If the power cord is plugged into a surge protector, it may be necessary (for testing purposes) to plug the cord directly into the wall outlet if possible.

 4.  Turn the printer back on.

can't connect to my network with MF624CW

I own 2 of these multifunction printers. Both were logged in until recently. Now they are not and I cant connect using wps push button, clinet pin code or SSID method. Router is ASUS AC2400. I reset both the printers and the router back to factory, no luck. Bought a new router ASUS AC3100, no luck. Following instructions in the setup manual but it always ends in an error. Have about 10-15 other devices on my network but nothing new. What am I doing wrong?

It didn’t work. I printed a page, then afterwards the yellow processing light just continues blinking. There are no notifications on the screen, it is just my normal home screen. The only way I can get the processing light to go off is by then turning the machine off then on again.

Hi AannaT.

The printers in the MAXIFY series do not support  reverse image printing.  The driver does not have an option to mirror or flip the images.
