In order for us to better assist you, we will need some additional information.  Do you mind answering a few questions so we can get a better picture of your situation?

 

1.  Is the (Wi-Fi) indicator on your unit solid and are you connected on the correct Network?

2.  If you power cycle the router does the issue continue?  "Unplug the power cord to your router and wait a few minutes and plug it back in".  Are you able to print at this point?

3.  How far is your unit from your router/access point?

4.  Did you install using the disk or download the software from Canons website?

5  Are you receiving a specfic error when you attempt to print?

6.  What is your MF624CW's IP Address?  To view your MF624CW's IP Address using your printer's operation panel, press  (Status Monitor) <Network Information><IPv4><IP Address>

 

Note: There is a direct connection mode for mobile devices on the  imageCLASS MF628Cw that when enabled, prevents communications between the printer and the router.   Ensure this setting is not enabled. Perform the following steps:

1.  Tap <Menu> in the <Home> Screen.

2.  Tap <Network Settings>.  If the logon screen appears, enter the correct ID and PIN using the numeric keys, and then press  Logging on to the Machine

3.  Tap <Enable Direct Connection>.

4.  Tap <Off>.

5.  Turn OFF the machine, wait for at least 10 seconds, and turn it back ON.

Re: My MX410 won't print in color anymore! Help!

I did what was instructed and the printer still will not print in color when the ink Cartridge setting is on "Both black and color".  So I then clicked on color only and it did not print anything/blank page came out.  I know I have a good color cartridge in the machine because I just installed it before trying this.  Can someone help with this issue?

Hi coffeebreak,

 

Your MAXIFY MB2720 will not print if one of the ink tanks is empty.  This precaution is in place to prevent damage to the printhead.  Replacing the empty ink tank will allow you to print again.

 

The MAXIFY MB2720 will use color ink tanks to print colored text.  Even if the grayscale option is checked in the printer driver, if the original text is in a color other than black, the MAXIFY MB2720 will combine the cyan, magenta and yellow ink tanks together to make a composite black.  This is why your color ink cartridges are still being used.

 

To use only the black ink tank, the original text must be black and the paper setting must be set to Plain Paper.

 

Can't save scanned images.

I use a Mac 10.11.6/ Canon i sensys MF8040cn with a wireless connection. The printer and the computer communicate. In the past, I have been able to scan and save the images in different formats, but this has now stopped. I can print and scan using MF Toolbox. However, when the scan is finished I get this message: Saving of scanned images has stopped. Scanned images that have not been saved will be deleted.

Any help appreciated

[Windows 10 -64 bit] Driver MF3220 ?

Hello everyone,

 

I wanted to ask if the MF 3220 LaserBase printer was compatible with the latest version of Windows 10.

 

I installed the two files on Canon site (and installed) for this printer:

  • [Windows 32-bit & 64-bit] Patch for network scanning and via USB
  • [Windows 64bit] MF3240 / MF3220 / MF3228 MFDrivers (CARPS / FAX / ScanGear)

But nothing if I navigate to Settings> Devices displays my MF3220 with "Driver not available".

 

Is there anything I can do or it refuses Windows10? Smiley Sad

The directions in the above link did not work for me. I was then directed to tech support. Tech support was friendly and helpful, he spent roughly 30 minutes with me trying to figure out the problem. Ultimately we couldn't solve the problem. I wiped my drive and did a clean install of windows 10. I then put the canon drivers on first before anything else. This worked.  Although I had to do a reinstall, I was happy with the attention tech service provided. Considering it was a 6 year old printer, I have to compliment canong support.

Error message: Could not create a port due to an error

I just bought an MF244dw. Set it up wirelessly using WPS push button mode. No problem. When I tried to install software from the disc using Network Connection option, I got an error message "Could not create a port due to an error". So I used a USB cable and installed via USB connection. Unfortunately the new printer does not recognize the software installation. I cannot scan (message on printer says to connect computer, but computer is already connected to home network wirelessly). 

 

After the printer was installed wirelessly, there was a printer in Control Panel Devices and Printers called MF240 Series. After the sortware installation by USB cable, there appeared another printer in Control Panel Devices and Printers called Canon MF240 Series UFRII LT, which I believe has the software drivers, That is the problem. MF 240 Series printer is online. The other pronter is offline. 

 

PC OS is Windows 10. I have a stand alone computer.

Hi there, I hope you are doing fine, I have a Canon ImageRunner 2520 at my work.I am facing an error that whenever I try to send print through AX dynamics, the red alarm light starts blinking continuously.What is the reason and solution to this problem??

I have a fairly new and lightly used MF4880dw printer which has ceased responding to all attemps at the few suggested solutions I've found on this and a couple of other sites...

ex: Multiple variations on "Power off, unplug, wait, plug in, turn on while holding Stop button"

That worked one time, so I printed the document my daughter urgently needed, and it then went back into the same error condition and has never responded to any other attempts. I can't find any hard info on Factory Reset procedures either, which I find strange too.

 

Am I alone with this problem? Can anyone help? Is it now a boat anchor?

It is possible that another program may be causing a conflict with the driver on your Windows computer.  If you have an antivirus program installed on your computer, please disable it temporarily, and then uninstall and reinstall the drivers again.  Once the drivers have been reinstalled, please verify if you continue to experience the same issue.

 

If the issue persists, it is recommended that you call us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) for further troubleshooting.

Have you performed the fixing unit cleaning by following the instructions below?

1.  Press  and tap <Menu>.

2.  Tap <Adjustment/Maintenance>.

3.  Tap <Clean Fixing Assembly>.

4.  Check that the size and type of paper displayed is loaded in the machine, and tap <OK>.



5.  Tap <Start>.



The cleaning sheet is printed out.

6.  Load the printed cleaning sheet in the multi-purpose tray, with the printed side face down.

If paper remains in the multi-purpose tray
Remove the loaded paper before loading the cleaning sheet.

7.  Tap <OK>.

 
If you have performed the cleaning, or  the issue persists after perform the cleaning two times, then it is recommended that you call us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) for further assistance.

Please verify that you have entered the email address in the [E-Mail/I-Fax] settings in the Remote UI, by following the instructions below:

 

1.  Start the Remote UI and log on in System Manager Mode. Starting Remote UI

2.  Click [Settings/Registration].


3.  Click [Network Settings]  [E-Mail/I-Fax Settings].

 
4.  Click [Edit].

 
5.  Specify the required settings.



[SMTP Server]
Enter up to 48 alphanumeric characters as the SMTP server name (or IP address) for sending e-mail and I-Faxes.

[E-Mail Address]
Enter up to 120 characters for the e-mail address that you want to use for the machine.

[POP Server]
Enter up to 48 alphanumeric characters as the SMTP server name or IP address for sending e-mail and I-Faxes.

[User Name]
Enter up to 64 alphanumeric characters as the user name for the specified e-mail account when a POP3 server is used.

[Set/Change Password]
To set or change the password when a POP3 server is used, select this check box and enter up to 32 alphanumeric characters in [Password].

 

 
6.  Click [OK].
 
7.  Restart the machine.

Turn OFF the machine, wait for at least 10 seconds, and turn it back ON.

 

To add a sender name, please follow the steps below at the machine:

 

<Menu>  <Scan Settings>  <Register Unit Name (E-Mail/I-Fax)>  Enter the sender name  <Apply>

Is the printer plugged into a surge protector?  If so, please power the printer off and plug it directly into a wall outlet.  Once the printer is back on, please make a copy to verify if you still hear the noise.
